How to installing a thermostatic shower faucet

Thermostatic shower faucets work by sensing changes in water temperature and regulating water pressure and flow accordingly. They prevent scalding by maintaining a preset temperature while ensuring a comfortable showering experience. Additionally, they are watertight, which means less maintenance is required.

When installing a thermostatic shower faucet, make sure to turn off the water supply and drain the existing water before starting installation. You should also be aware that the riser pipe may come oversized, and you will have to cut it to fit. Measure the length of the riser pipe in relation to the thermostatic valve and bracket. Then, use sticky tape to secure the riser pipe at the desired height above the valve. After that, install the shower head and test it by turning on the water.

Thermostatic shower valves work by balancing the pressure of hot and cold water. This means that if one supply fails, the other supply won't run, causing the temperature to fluctuate. This way, you can adjust the temperature in your shower to your liking.

Another advantage of thermostatic shower valves is that they allow you to set your desired temperature before you start your shower. This helps conserve water and save money on heating costs. Thermostatic mixers also prevent thermal shock and scalding water.
